COUNTY CARD SCHEME

The Lincolnshire union of Golf Clubs has successfully organised a voluntary county card scheme for a number of years. The scheme enables members of affiliated golf clubs to play at other Lincolnshire golf courses for a reduced green fee rate. The scheme provides benefits for club members, clubs and the county union. Unlike commercial 2 for 1 schemes ALL the income collected by the LUGC goes straight back into the game at grass roots level.

In summary the scheme includes the following points

1.       It is open to gentlemen members (including juniors) of affiliated clubs.

2.       The annual membership is £25.

3.       Card members may play each course once during the year.

4.       Booking must be made in advance to the host club. Restrictions on the time /day may apply.

5.       The cards may be used by groups of up to 8 players and may not be used in connection with larger groups or societies.

6.       The green fee will be 50% of the visitor rate or the same as the guest green fee.

7.       Application for a county card is made through the secretary of your golf club.

This year the LUGC is encouraging more club members to join the present scheme and  as a further incentive the Union is in the process of joining  the National Inter Card Scheme, whereby  our members will be able to use their cards not only at Lincolnshire courses but at 1200 other golf clubs spread across 28 counties.

For further information please contact your golf club secretary or the LUGC secretary Harvey Harrison.
